In 2026, Matilda became the first trumpeter to win the Royal Philharmonic Society Young Artist Award, being recognised for her bright musicianship, the sunshine emanating from everything she does and her commitment to inspiring young people to make music.
Described as a “trumpeter extraordinaire” by BBC Music Magazine, Matilda is a radiant force in classical music, captivating audiences with her flawless tone and virtuosic command of the trumpet and nurturing the next generation of classical musicians as Professor of Trumpet in London.
